The bridge is closed to all traffic and is posted with No Tresspassing signs. This bridge is located on First Lake Road, which is apparently, an old logging road. According to Langlade County, all logging loads are open to ATV travel, however, there is a curious sign on this bridge. It indicates that the bridge is closed to ATV travel because some riders abused the trail and did not follow rules, thereby, ruining the trail to everyone else.

It appears to have been closed for some time. The underbrush is so heavy here that one cannot identify this as a bridge until almost right on top of it.

Carries Range Line Road over W Br Eau Claire River
Design: truss/pony/warren
Design Details: Single span Warren pony truss with continuous top chord.
"The Range Line Road Bridge is a single span Warren truss consisting almost entirely of riveted angles. A distinctive feature is the continuous top chord that extends to the shoe, eliminating the need for a hip joint and separate endpost. In 1908, Ackley township supervisors in Langlade County agreed to raise funds to remove several decaying wooden bridges and replace them with steel structures. The following August, the Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, erected the Range Line Road Bridge over the West Channel of the Eau Claire River. J.C. Hall, a local resident, constructed the approach. The Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Company, incorporated in 1891, erected bridges throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. It is one of the few bridge building firms to use the continuous top chord design."

This bridge is a contemporary to the 7th Avenue Bridge and is upstream from the Hudson Street Bridge. Like the Hudson Bridge, it appears to also have had recent, massive work. Like the 7th Ave Bridge, it has the creative railing design except that railings appear to have been recently poured in place.
