Bridge Documentation

British Columbia has a number of old wooden through truss bridges in the province. Most of them follow a standard plan for the design. The design includes an all-wood constructed except for metal verticals and connection blocks. Among the surviving wooden truss bridges, this particular bridge stands out as a long, multi-span example of the type. The bridge has been preserved for non-motorized use only. The three center spans of this bridge are larger than the other spans. The bridge sits on concrete piers and abutments.
