This bridge is a rainbow arch with a 1930 listed construction date, however the end of the two concrete t-beam approach spans at the east end of the bridge have a 1949 construction date set into them. This date refers to the only major alteration to the original bridge, when these two spans were added to the 1930 bridge. However, the bridge remains significant for the rarity of its design, lack of alteration to the main arch spans, multi-span configuration, and span length which is long enough that the arches have overhead bracing. The bridge is located on a quiet rural road. In 1996, the railing on the north side of the western approach was washed away and subsequently replaced with modern railing. This bridge was designed and built completely "in-house" with the design undertaken by Asa G. Proctor, Yolo County Surveyor and the construction undertaken by "Day Labor" from the county.
