This type of bridge uses roughly the same style of architectural detailing as Michigan's unique curved-chord through girder bridges, although the "girders" act only as guardrails and do nothing to support the load on the bridge. The actual structure of the bridge type is a concrete slab. These bridges do not have posted weight limits, and are fairly wide and so are probably not in any near danger. This section of Fisher Road had five of these bridges of varying size, all in excellent condition and unmodified. As such, they are good examples that are representative of the original standard plan design.
