This is a tiny bridge, but despite this, Cook County spared no expense in making the bridge look nice. The bridge has attractive balustrade railings on it, which unlike many bridges in the county, remained in place throughout the life of the bridge and were never replaced. Additionally, the bridge has two full-size bronze plaques, each providing its own information. The bridge even has its own special name, Lehman Bridge, listed on the plaque.
Wilson Jaicks of River Forest, Illinois was listed as a contractor for highways in the July 5, 1919 issue of Municipal Journal and Public Works. This very well may be one of the Jaicks brothers who built the bridge.
