This bridge is similar to the 1850 Bridge. The bridge is a seven panel Pratt through truss with riveted connections. It features v-lacing under the top chord and end post. Channel railings are present on the bridge. The portal bracing is the same as the sway bracing and is a large lattice design. This bridge is one of only a few Iroquois County truss bridges that are near a wooded area. Many of the counties rivers and creeks are dredged and surrounded by active farms and so the truss bridges have no trees around them. There are different positive aspects to a truss bridge nestled in the trees as well as out in the open from a photography perspective. The bridges look more scenic in the trees, but they can be harder to get good photos of. Similarly, truss bridges in an open field make a more noticeable beautiful landmark for the surrounding area and are easier to photo. This bridge makes an interesting comparison to the similar 1850 bridge mentioned earlier, as it is a similarly designed bridge that sits out in the open.
