This is one of a unique group of six historic truss bridges found along this road. This section of road was a former railroad line, abandoned ca. 1899 and later converted to a highway.
Field connections on the bridge are bolted, while shop connections are riveted.

Information and Findings From DHPA Historic Bridge SurveyBridge History and Significance This full-hip, single-span Pratt pony truss rests upon cut stone abutments and wingwalls with concrete caps. The largely-bolted structure extends 84' in five panels. Its verticals are fabricated from two pairs of laced angles and its diagonals and center-panel counter of a pair of angles riveted together with battens. I floor-beams, which are bolted to verticals below the lower chord, carry the concrete deck with its 15'6" roadway. Bolted Pratt pony spans are not plentiful. The members of this structure suggest an early phase of design. The unadorned bridge retains its original members.
