This bridge is a classic riveted pony truss remains today with good historic integrity. The deck described in the Historic Bridge Survey has since been replaced with a steel open grate deck.
Information and Findings From DHPA Historic Bridge SurveyArchitectural Description Concrete abutments and wingwalls support the one-span Warren pony truss. The riveted structure extends 72' in five panels. Its all-interior verticals are manufactured from two pairs of laced angles and its diagonals from a single pair of laced angles. The I floor-beams are bolted to gussets below the lower chord and carry the asphalt-over-concrete deck with its 14'10" roadway. The light and uniform size of the diagonals and the placement of floor-beams indicate an early stage of all-riveted Warren pony construction. Except for the lacing of the verticals and diagonals, this bridge is of standard design and retains its original members, including latticed guardrails.
