This fairly old concrete arch bridge with a distinct hump to its deck remains in good condition with no alterations. The INDOT notes for this bridge indicate it may be a rare Melan type arch bridge. Exposed steel underneath the bridge appears to suggest this. Unknown to HistoricBridges.org at the time, this bridge was apparantly demolished and replaced a mere months after these photos were taken. This bridge had an ADT of only 112 and was on a road that simply cuts a corner that heavy traffic would normally just use IN-56 to reach. The replacement was not needed.
