Bridge Documentation

A bridge of contrasts, this bridge features a pin-connected through truss span that appears to be very old, plus a newer looking riveted pony truss span. It is not known if the through truss span was relocated from elsewhere or if the approach span was replaced at a later date. The pony truss is traditionally composed. The through truss appears to be somewhat lightweight in design for a railroad bridge, suggesting it may be very old, perhaps dating to the 1880s. The hip verticals and ends of the bottom chord have corrugated/riibbon style lacing. An unusual brand was found on an angle on the pony truss which appears to read "P S Co"

Lengths given are estimates. The through truss appears to be about a 113 foot span and the pony truss appears to be about a 105 foot span.
