This is an unusual riveted footbridge with a truly curved (not polygonal) top chord that makes it like a bowstring truss bridge. The diagonal members of the bridge are arranged in a Pratt configuration. This bridge's design is not unique, but it is extremely rare among surviving riveted truss bridges. Some modern pedestrian foot bridges attempt to copy this design, but are much more plain and ugly in appearance. This bridge is of an unknown construction date but likely dates to the first half of the 20th Century. A historical photo shows the bridge much as it remains today.
