Bridge Documentation

This railroad bridge, converted for pedestrian use, is visible south of the highway bridge in Montezuma. The Union Bridge Company of Buffalo, New York and Athens, Pennsylvania built a bridge here in the 1890s but the bridge was extensively rebuilt in the 1920s. Length and span number given is an estimate. It appears that the "approach" spans may actually be 160 feet, about 10 feet longer than the truss span.

The below photo shows the bridge as it appeared in 1912.
