This bridge was built by the same company who built the Church Road Bridge in Michigan.

The Chimney Rock Bridge is historically and technologically significant as a historically intact version of a pin-connected Parker truss bridge, built by a bridge company that have very few examples remaining. The bridge was reportedly relocated from a different original location to this site in 1952.
