This bridge is a standard design riveted through truss bridge in Iowa. It is traditionally composed and includes an a-frame portal bracing. The bridge has a 1938 construction date listed. With a narrow 18.7 foot roadway, the bridge has an older look to it, but it is believed that Iowa may have continued building bridges with narrow roadways like this one a lot longer than other states in the many rural locations found in the state. This particular bridge includes a couple steel stringer approach spans. The historic integrity of the bridge appears good with no major alterations noted.
