The bridge's previous location was on an unspecified road over Otter Creek in Freemont Township. A ca. 1910 construction date was given by the interpretive signage for this bridge. Although one of two Queenpost truss bridges in this park, the Queenpost truss is a generally rare truss type. This particular bridge also has the rare detail where instead of cover plate on the top chord and end post, v-lacing is present instead. This gives the bridge a unique, more lightweight appearance.
