This bridge was a relatively short and also uncommon example of a railroad Camelback through truss. The bridge appeared to retain good historic integrity. The bridge was designed to handle two tracks but only one track was present on the bridge at the time of demolition. The bridge is part of an alarming trend where a large number of historic truss bridges on active railroad lines are being demolished and replaced in the 21st Century.
