This noteworthy 1926 swing span was relocated and reused at this location in 1960. The original location of the bridge was on the Houma-Morgan City Highway over the Bayou Boeuf, in St. Mary/Assumption Parishes, between Morgan and Houma. In its original location, the bridge also included four 102 fixed through truss spans. At some point, presumably when the bridge was moved, an enormous number of rivets were replaced with bolts, even the fasteners for lacing bars on the top chord and bottom chord are bolts, and presumably these would have been rivets originally.
