This bridge has some bizarre design to it. Most unusual is that the pier sits lower than one of the abutments, but equal to the height of the other abutment, so only one of the two trusses angle down toward the center slightly, rather than having a constant slope throughout the bridge. In addition, one of the endposts is purposely construction to have two angles to it, so that it bows out slightly. Additional bracing is present between the hip vertical and this second endpost connection that allows this shape. The purpose for these two highly unusual conditions is unclear.
The bridge's built-up beams are riveted but all connections are bolted. It is unclear if this is a later truss bridge that was built with bolted connections, or if it was altered by having all connection rivets replaced with bolts.
