Constructed in 1961, and with large bronze plaques, type R4 railings, and a heavy built-up plate girder span, this bridge is an example of a standard plan grade separation designed by Michigan State Highway Department, albeit an extremely late example of one with R4 railings. The design of the superstructure is not much different from the earlier examples from the 1930s, however the abutment design which is somewhat lacking in detail is a contrast to the art deco designs seen on earlier examples. Originally part of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad (Canadian National) it is today owned by the Coopersville and Marne Railway, and although their tour trains don't travel on this section, apparently they do lease it for occasional freight trains.
