This bridge is a traditionally composed example of a deck plate girder, with a larger central span flanked by smaller spans at each end. Supported by concrete piers and abutments, the bridge was constructed by the American Bridge Company, which was still a fairly new company when this bridge was built. The Ada Railroad Bridge is not particularly noteworthy on a state level, but is worth noting as the oldest bridge in Ada today, and the only bridge in Ada that is genuinely old enough to be considered to have any heritage value.
