There are few enough expressway bridges remaining that date to the early years of the Interstate system, yet even fewer that have not been modified by the addition of modern railings bolted to the original railings, or outright replacement of the original railings. The Arlene Drive Bridge stood out in a shrinking group of bridges that do retain original railings. Unfortunately however after being photographed it too joined the legions of bridges with replaced railings. It just looks like an ugly modern bridge now.
