As a two panel half-hip Pratt, this bridge has the smallest number of panels that a Pratt truss can have. With length of only 30 feet, it is also just about as small as truss bridges were ever built. The bridge rests on riveted caissons, which have been slowly tipping over and their lean is very defined today, putting the truss bridge at risk for collapse. Some time ago, someone added wooden piles under the bridge's floorbeam for added support. Later, an entirely new lightweight modular stringer bridge was added, placed so that the truss bridge and its caissons were no longer supporting any traffic.
