Many of the curved t-beams have a slight, but noticeable camber to the deck, but this bridge appears perfectly flat, likely the result of the natural topography that helped to create the vertical clearance for the bridge without the need for a dirt approach to be constructed.
The curved t-beam was a design that Michigan built a number of on its freeways. They are unusually beautiful examples of expressway bridges. The number of curved t-beams in Michigan that retain railings with no alterations is decreasing, increasing the significance of bridges that have unmodified railings.
