There are two similar bridges that cross the Flat River, using a small island (which is completely filled by the bridge and some building footprints) to get there, which is why there are two bridges instead of one. They retain original R4 style railings which appear to have been repaired and galvanized at some point. The bridges are very wide, and there is no change in the shape, alignment, or width of the street at these bridges. When you drive down Main Street it is hard to realize there is even a bridge at this location aside from the water visible and the railings. The bridges appear to have been designed to fit at perfectly as possible with the design of the existing downtown and main street layout.
