This tiny arch bridge is noteworthy mainly only because it is located in a region where there are hardly any bridges with historic value. The bridge represents a period in history that predates the use of corrugated metal culverts and pre-cast concrete tubes and boxes. Those structures are used today for small ditches, creeks and such and are much less complex and interesting than a bridge like this.
This bridge has heavy pole railings on it that are of the type one might expect to see along a riverwalk or pier, but look unusual on a bridge. Pole railings were sometimes used on small arch bridges like this but they usually have a less massive appearance and come with more posts. It is not known if these railings are original.
