This bridge is one of the few old bridges in the region with any heritage value at all. This region is noted for its striking lack of interesting bridges. Although modern Armco guardrails have been added to the inside of the girders, diminishing the historic integrity and aesthetic value of the bridge, the structure is otherwise unaltered. Unfortunately, the county road commission wants to demolish and replace this bridge, which will only increase the desolation in this region in terms of interesting bridges.
