This small bridge was built in the 1930s to connect the network of canals winding through this residential area on Lake St. Clair. The bridge features a railing design that uses concrete posts and metal pipe. This arrangement in and of itself is not terribly uncommon, but the design does not appear to follow any standard design seen on other Michigan bridges, and is thus noteworthy as something a little different to take a look at. Such variety and lack of consistency is what make photographing historic bridges an enjoyable experiance.
