This bridge originally carried a railroad line, but it today carries a non-motorized trail. Aside from this change of use, this bridge appears to be largely unaltered, although it is possible the ornamental railings has an extra pipe added to the top. The bridge has a steel stringer main span, with the fascia beams encased in concrete for aesthetic reasons (making the bridge look all-concrete to casual viewers). The approach spans are over the sidewalks and are a concrete slab design. This general design of grade separation can be found in other states, but details like the railings and exact patterning of the inset rectangles on the concrete facing are distinctive to each state.
