This bridge has been abandoned, and some changes in the stream appear to have resulted in the bridge's bottom chord being in the water often. The constant exposure to moisture is deteriorating the bottom chord and floorbeams. The cause of the water level change may be due to the fact that this bridge is very near a reservoir, Sanders Lake. Documents refer to a 1930 construction date. This date is most certainly an error, as pin-connected truss bridges of this type were not built in 1930. It is not known if perhaps the date indicates this truss bridge was moved here in 1930 or if the date is a complete error.
