This is a rare bedstead pony truss. It was bypassed by a new bridge in 2003 and signed and gated for use by pedestrian traffic. However the approaching walkway was not maintained and it is totally overgrown. If you want to walk on this bridge, you would need to walk through dense, tick-infested poison ivy. As such, on-deck photos are not available for this bridge.
This bridge has the unusual casting and connection details at the top of its endpost that the Canton Bridge Company and the Wrought Iron Bridge Company (the Canton Bridge Company was formed by former Wrought Iron Bridge Company staff) used on their inclined end post Pratt trusses as well.
