This bridge is a noteworthy example of a bridge built by the prolific Wrought Iron Bridge Company. This bridge has some of the more unusual (yet among the many standard designs for the company) details found on some but not all Wrought Iron Bridge Company truss bridges. These include threaded rod with nut connections at the end post for the diagonal members and bottom chord, cast iron bearing shoes, and four-prong eye-bars for the hip vertical bottom chord connections. This bridge has evidence that it originally had the company's standard portal decoration on top, but it no longer remains on the bridge.
