If the 1890 construction date suggested by the interpretive plaque at this bridge is correct, then this is one of the earliest polygonal Warren truss bridges in the entire country. However, the bridge is nearly identical to a bridge in Maine that was built by the American Bridge Company of New York in 1908. This, (along with 1890 being a suspiciously early presentation of a riveted polygonal Warren) makes one question the 1890 date. Even the 1908 bridge in Maine is one of the earliest polygonal Warren truss bridges in the entire country. Nearly all polygonal Warren truss bridges date to after 1915.
