This bridge is today abandoned and overgrown. Over the course of its history it had some very extensive alterations. Channels were added to diagonal members. Outriggers were added. And finally, the entire end post and top chord had a plate welded on top of the original cover plate. Historical elements remain visible as well however including cast iron pin caps and a Carnegie brand. The pin design may be an indication that this bridge was built by the Groton Bridge Company of Groton, New York.
