Depending on which map you use, this is shown as Jenne Lane or Jenne Road, but in either case both the road and bridge have been abandoned, and the setting is somewhat striking with thick grass where the road use to be, but with old road signs and this bridge still here today. This abandoned bridge is a bowstring truss bridge of highly unusual design. Its top chord is a rolled beam that is bent at panel points. Despite appearing somewhat like a Parker pony truss as a result of this, it appears this bridge functions like a bowstring truss bridge. The bridge features cast iron connection blocks like those found on bowstring truss bridges. A long time ago, the bridge bearings were embedded in concrete. The bottom chord of this bridge has severe distortion. The Burr Covered Bridge Resource Center in Oxford, NY had a photo of this bridge with a note on it listing an 1890 construction date. It is not clear if this is accurate. Bowstring bridges with the cast iron connection assemblies on this bridge often date to the 1870s.
