After sitting abandoned for many years, this classic Warren pony truss bridge made a move on a trailer to a historic park in Sherburne before disappearing again.
The shape of the lower chord gusset plates suggest this bridge may be the work of the Climax Road Machine Company in the 1900-1911 range. Compare to this bridge.
For a while the bridge sat on a trailer at Sherburne Historic Park (42.689287, -75.500829) but later moved to an unknown location. While one would hope it was preserved somewhere, it might have also been moved to the scrapyard. The bridge had heavy widespread section loss and they may have given up on preserving it. If so, this is a deeply unfortunate outcome as it could have at least been left as a non-functional exhibit somewhere.
The location shown for this bridge is the original location of the bridge as confirmed via 1997 satelite imagry cross-referenced with 2001 photos.
