Information and Findings From Ohio's Historic Bridge InventorySetting/Context The bridge carries 1 lane of a narrow road over a stream in a redeveloping rural area with active farms and large new homes. Physical Description The skewed, 1 span, 55'-long, rivet-connected Warren with verticals pony truss bridge is traditionally composed of built-up members. It has lattice railings and is supported on concrete abutments. The bridge appears to be complete, but there are no distinctive or innovative details. The steel was made by Cambria (block letter style, not italics). Integrity Maintains integrity. Summary of Significance Although complete, the Warren with verticals pony truss bridge placed in 1910 by the county is not historically or technologically significant. It is a later example of a standardized design that was used throughout the state. The fabricator is not documented. Extant riveted pony truss bridges in Ohio date to 1897 (25XXXX1), and it is the early examples that represent the transfer of technology from pinned to riveted field connections.
