This seven panel through truss is a traditionally composed example of its type. The bridge has been repaired, demonstrating an interest in allowing this bridge to continue to be an attractive part of the surrounding landscape. However, the repairs, which included the complete replacement of several truss members, were not done in-kind, resulting in a loss of attractive v-laced built-up beams on the bridge, and thus reducing the aesthetic and historic integrity of the bridge. If these beams really did require replacement, it would have been nice to see them replaced in-kind with beams that retained the built-up beam with v-lacing detail. For the purposes of interpreting this heritage bridge in the photos provided, note that the replacement members are easily distinguished since they are not rusted.
