This unaltered concrete rigid-frame bridge is noted for the concrete railing post details which differ from most rigid-frame bridges in Ontario. It may suggest that this is a very early example of a concrete rigid-frame bridge in Ontario. As an early example of what became one of the most popular bridge types in Ontario, the bridge is more significant than other examples of this bridge type in Ontario. The bridge's unusual railing post design mirrors a design used in Michigan in the 1930s, suggesting that their was perhaps some international sharing of bridge railing design. This area is called Forks of the Credit River, and this bridge is located immediately east of where the two forks come together to form the main Credit River. In addition to carrying a dead-end road, the bridge also carries the Bruce Trail in this scenic area.
