This bridge is a very narrow and lightweight foot bridge, composed of paired angles throughout. At least some of the steel is British, with a Consett brand found on the top chord. Lightweight foot bridges of this style were on occasion built for crossings where vehicular access was not needed, sometimes in parks, and they sometimes also were used as elevated access walkways in large multi-building factories and such. This particular bridge has a lot of alterations and unusual elements that suggest it was relocated and repurposed here at some time in the past. This bridge has overhead bracing added to it which is not original. For this reason, it is being listed on this website as a pony truss rather than a through truss. The south end of the bridge only has brackets attached to the end post that appear to be cut off at the top. Empty rivet holes can be found on a number of members. These sorts of details all suggest a bridge that is relocated and repurposed.
