This bridge is noted for its combination of span types. It has one pony truss span and also an unusual deck "girder and floorbeam system" type bridge. This span is essentially a plate girder, but is unusual because instead of the usual built-up girders (which give rise to the idea of a "plate" girder) this bridge's girders are simply rolled i-beams. The bridge is also unusual because the bridge itself has American style lattice railing where the lattice is composed of bars, while the abutment wingwalls have the traditional Canadian railing style where the lattice is composed of angles. It is unclear why there are two varieties of railing on the bridge. Both appear old.
