This bridge is on a section of Don Mills Road that has been bypassed by a new road and bridge. As such, this bridge's main purpose today is to accommodate non-motorized traffic, although it remains possible to drive on the bridge as well. This bridge stands out among Ontario's rainbow arch bridges, also known as concrete bowstring bridges, for its lack of alteration and good condition. It also has two unusual details at the ends of the arches. First, the last two panels of the arch are filled with concrete, to create a solid wall from the arch rib down to the deck. Second, the end of the bridge has a short concrete parapet with unique diamond designs on it.
