This bridge is an outstanding example of a standard design rigid-frame overpass in Ontario. It is the only unaltered example of this design in this region, all other examples having been demolished, and the only other example (also on Dougall Parkway) having had its original railings replaced. The standard overpass design is distinguished by a single span over the freeway traffic lanes, and the use of Ontario's standard ornamental railing. This example has not been altered by the removal of original railings. The limited access highway it crosses, in reality a glorified onramp and offramp to nearby King's Highway 401, is lightly traveled for this type of roadway, making this bridge easier to photograph than other examples of this type.
