This bridge is a typical example of a mid-20th Century metal truss bridge in Ontario. It appears to follow a standard plan, since other similar truss bridges can be found elsewhere in the province. That said, truss bridges from this period are not common in Ontario, extant examples are widely scattered in the province in small number. The truss span of this bridge retains good historic integrity. The stringer approach spans at each end of the bridge may have been replaced. Also, the southwestern pier is steel, where the northeastern pier is concrete. The steel pier seems to be a replacement. This bridge was extensively rehabilitated in 2005.
