This bridge is one of the only (if the the only) surviving documented example of a bridge built by the Stratford Bridge Company. The bridge is overall of traditional design and construction, however it has some unusual but simple twisted bars that act as attachments for the railing to the truss. The bridge's trusses overall are in good condition, however the floorbeams show some signs of deterioration. The bridge appears to have at least a partial preservation commitment. It is recognized as a heritage structure by the town of Celedon and it has had a lead-bearing concrete slab superstructure added to the bridge. As such, the trusses of the bridge no longer function and serve a decorative purpose only.
