This bridge appears to be a ca. 1920s example of a concrete t-beam. It retains original railings with no major alterations noted. The bridge is therefore an early and unaltered surviving example of a concrete t-beam in Ontario of decent span length for this type of bridge. In a region with relatively few surviving heritage bridges, this bridge stands out as locally significant on a higher level.
Meeting minutes of the Township of Mckellar indicate that money was allocated to the repair of this structure in 2009. From the looks of it, the repairs seem to be in the form of concrete patches to the beams, wing walls and railing. There is a decent size spall on one of the beams at the north abutment, other then that the bridge looks like its in decent shape.
