This bridge is a rare example of a steel rigid frame bridge in Ontario. Ontario has a large number of concrete rigid frame bridges, however steel rigid frame bridges are rare. Like most of Ontario's concrete rigid-frame bridges, this steel rigid-frame's superstructure is also arched. The arched superstructure is composed of parallel variable depth beams with bolted splices. The bridge retains original standard design ornamental railings.
