Information from Ontario Bridge Inventory: Bridge width: 7.8 meters. Rehabilitation in 1992 and in 2003.
This bridge follows a standard plan for truss bridges on provincial highways. However it stands out for its long single span length. This makes the trusses very tall, especially for a pony truss. Unfortunately, this bridge has been significantly altered from its original design as part of a strengthening project. The most detrimental alteration to the beauty and historic integrity of the bridge was the replacement of the attractive lacing on the diagonal members with plain, unsightly plate. However other less detrimental alterations are present including the addition of horizontal members through the truss web, welding of plates to various parts of the bridge, and replacement of many rivets with bolts. Interestingly, despite these alterations, the original railings have been left on the bridge.
This historic bridge has been demolished. This map is shown for reference purposes only.
