This bridge is a beautiful structure that looks like a stone arch bridge but is actually a concrete arch bridge with stone facing. The bridges long, shallow arch would be unusual for a stone arch bridge but is well within the abilities of reinforced concrete. In addition to the aesthetics provided by the stone on the bridge, the bridge has ornate metal railing panels that are of a unique decorative design and add greatly to the beauty of the bridge. The Niagara Parkway is a road that appears to have been designed with sightseeing in mind, and as such aesthetics were likely a consideration when building bridges, which would explain the unusual attention to beauty found with this bridge.
