This is a traditionally composed example of a riveted pony truss in Ontario. Aside from the replacement of original railings, it retains good historic integrity. A busier highway and bridge to the east carries most heavy traffic, therefore this bridge should be considered a good candidate for rehabilitation for continued light/local vehicular use. The Engineering News for August 3, 1916 stated that the county was receiving bids August 8 for a 50 foot bridge in Seagrave over Nonquon River: Contract number one was a concrete bridge, contract number two was a steel superstructure on concrete piers, contract number three was two concrete piers. This may refer to this bridge. If so, it is quite obvious that in the end, contract number two was chosen. Lackawanna brands were found on the steel of this bridge, as well as one (and unusual) Lanarkshire Scotland brand. No builder plaque was found on the bridge.
