Very little is known about this bridge which is within the Queen Elizabeth II Wetlands, which is a large provincial park within the City of Kawartha Lakes. The park is mostly just uninhabited wilderness as the park has no facilities and no staff. The road going in is little more then a dirt trail. The bridge features a Warren truss span at the west end and a steel stringer span at the east. At the east end, this bridge features a unique dry laid stone abutment which itself sits on a natural rock outcrop. At the west end, the bridge bears right on a rock outcrop. The truss span has a detail at the end of the floorbeams under the outriggers that suggests the bridge may have originally had cantilevered sidewalks which were cut off. If true, that probably also means the truss span was relocated here. Also, the pier is concrete on top of stone, while the abutment is a very unique and primitive dry laid stone abutment resting on a natural rock outcropping. The stone portions of the substructure may predate the presumed relocation of the truss span here.
